RE: GATE Executive Committee Decision to Postpone the 2024 GATE Conference

What: Postponement of 2024 GATE Conference due to Inclement Weather
Why: Impending hurricane/tropical storm Milton for the region that may impact the safety of all participants. As you know, last week, Hurricane Helene caused major damage to many areas, forcing closures and continued disruption in quality of life for many across Georgia. Another upcoming hurricane/tropical storm, Milton, is threatening the region once more. In prioritizing the safety of our members and conference registrants and based on what we know about the forecasted weather for St. Simon Island, GA, and its surrounding areas, the GATE Executive Committee has voted to cancel the 2024 GATE conference. We are currently working on rescheduling the conference for a later date this year, 2024.
What’s Next: We will update you soon with the rescheduled dates for the GATE 2024 Conference.
Please note: In speaking with St. Simon Island, if the new dates work for you, you can transfer your room stay to the new dates.
Conference Registration: After we confer with St. Simons Island about rescheduling the conference, if none of the rescheduled days work for you, you will receive a full refund of your conference registration only. Details for conference registration refunds will be provided in the coming weeks.
